Ferrari driver was clear in his answer about running to be elected:
"I do not yet know enough about the responsibilities of an FIA president. From a Formula 1 perspective, you only see part of it. I do have some understanding of it, but not enough to be able to judge."What Vettel is going to do in the future is still unknown. He was often rumuored as a possible successor to Helmut Marko at
Red Bull Racing.
He also ruled out a return to F1 as a driver.
Although Vettel is not a candidate to succeed
Mohammed Ben Sulayem, the Emirati does have a challenger in Tim Mayer.
