The races follow each other fast now. After being in Mexico this weekend and a race in Brazil next week, the first race in Qatar is only two weeks away. Unlike the next two races, Qatar features familiar start times.

In the dark

Verstappen and his teammates will start at 2pm on Sunday 21 November at the Qatar circuit, which is on the F1 calendar for the first time. As the sun sets the drivers will complete 57 laps, finishing in the dark.

On Saturday the drivers started the engines for the first time at 11 o'clock. For that moment the third and final free practice is scheduled. This will be followed by an exciting qualifying session at 2pm.

The first day of the race weekend is of course on Friday. The two free sessions are scheduled for 10:30am and 2pm. Both practice sessions last for one hour. They will certainly be action-packed sessions, because - as mentioned - the circuit is completely new for the Formula 1 teams. To get to know the track and to find the right settings for the cars, there will be a lot of work to do.
