Yes, there is a Red Bull on pole position. No, it's not Max Verstappen. Still quite surprisingly, Sergio Perez managed to give himself the best starting position for the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix on Saturday night.

What time will the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix start?

The second Grand Prix of the season is also a night race. In Jeddah it is 8 pm when the lights go green, in the UK it is two hours earlier. The race therefore starts at 6 pm. The drivers go for 50 laps on the street circuit that is no less than 6.174 kilometers long.

Eighteen cars will start on the grid. Mick Schumacher is not participating after his huge crash during qualifying. Lewis Hamilton is also almost certainly missing from the grid. The Brit would have chosen to make changes to his Mercedes, causing him to start from the pit lane.

Surprises

Far ahead of Hamilton qualified his former teammate, Valtteri Bottas. The Finn again got the most out of his Alfa Romeo, starting the race from eighth place. This puts him just behind Fernando Alonso in his Alpine. His teammate Esteban Ocon was one of the big surprises yesterday. The Frenchman starts from fifth place.
