Verstappen: "We are very positive about that"

Max Verstappen enters the second half of the season eight points behind Lewis Hamilton. The lead is small, so the Dutchman is driven to give everything.

During the press conference in Spa-Francorchamps Verstappen said that he is looking forward to the second half of the season with confidence.

"We are very positive about that," he is quoted on the Dutch site of Motorsport.com. Whereas Hamilton talks about a tough second half of the season, Verstappen sounds a bit more positive. Mercedes seem to have come back stronger, but due to bad luck during the races, Red Bull and Verstappen have lost a lot of points.

"We have had many good races, only in the last two it didn't go our way due to something beyond our control. But I am very optimistic. The team is looking forward to starting again and of course, there are still a lot of races to go. We'll see how it goes," said the Dutchman.

After bad luck in Silverstone and Hungary, it's up to Verstappen and Red Bull to get back to winning ways. A win at Spa-Francorchamps would be the very first for Verstappen.
