Max Verstappen is preparing for the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. The Dutchman won the last edition at the circuit of Imola and hopes to repeat the feat in 2022. However, the rain in Italy did not expect the Dutchman.
The fourth Grand Prix of the season brings Formula 1 to Europe already. Imola opens the European season, if only for a short time because in two weeks the circus will go back to America for a race in Miami. This weekend, however, the drivers are in Italy and when you think of that country, you do hope for nice weather. However, that is disappointing.

Verstappen had hoped for sunshine

On Thursday it was already raining in Imola and on Friday it will be no different. It is therefore expected that the drivers will have to complete the first free practice and qualifying sessions on a wet track. According to Formule1.nl Verstappen said at the press conference that he was a bit disappointed by the rain: ''I came for some sun actually.''
Verstappen also states that his team has worked hard to improve the reliability of the RB18. According to the Red Bull driver, his car was competitive at every circuit, but the results in Australia and Bahrain were obviously disappointing. However, those problems should be fixed in Imola.
