Amid the general chaos surrounding him in the driver market, Max Verstappen also answered a question about the possibility of taking a sabbatical year in 2026.
As widely expected following the rumors that erupted in recent days, Max Verstappen was literally bombarded by the media on Thursday at Silverstone, ahead of the highly anticipated British Grand Prix, the twelfth round of the 2025 season.
The four-time world champion first of all once again clarified his future, adding bluntly, "I have nothing more to add to what I said last week."
As reported by GPBlog in recent days, the Dutchman’s primary preference is to remain with Red Bull, despite strong interest from Toto Wolff, who still has to make a final decision between him and George Russell for 2026.

The Dutchman was also asked whether he might hypothetically consider taking a sabbatical year from Formula 1, to which he replied with a firm "no."
''(It will be) F1 for sure. And I'll try to, of course, in the future combine it with any kind of other racing that is possible because I do want to, of course, explore a bit out of Formula 1, which of course I'm already doing with testing, but eventually also racing.''
