Max Verstappen, while sim racing after Friday in Austria where he took pole position for the sprint race, had momentarily completely forgotten what the schedule looks like at the Red Bull Ring. When the reigning Formula One world champion was asked when he was due to race again, he gave an extraordinary answer.

Verstappen forgets F1 schedule

"What time is qualifying in the morning tomorrow?", asks Luke Crane, the man Verstappen races with on the sim. " No, no, we have to race first," replies Verstappen. "At 11am I think. I don't know man, 11.00.... Who cares?" , the Red Bull driver continued. "Let me have a look," Verstappen concluded.
Saturday's sprint race in Austria starts at noon in Austria. Verstappen is in the most favourable spot on the front row of the grid, as he claimed pole position for the sprint on Friday afternoon. Lando Norris will line up alongside the Dutchman and Oscar Piastri also has prospects of a podium spot with a third starting spot. Verstappen's teammate Sergio Perez will start from P7, behind the two Mercedes and Carlos Sainz.
