Max Verstappen could not enjoy the first Grand Prix of 2020 for long on Sunday. The Dutchman already dropped out after eleven laps. Fortunately, the driver of Red Bull Racing will be able to start again in Austria next Sunday.

World title becomes tricky

''It's too bad how it went on Sunday. Normally it is possible to make up for a breakdown, but with a small calendar that is difficult. We lay second and were on our way with a good strategy. If you see what happens in the rest of the race, you know that a lot would have been possible'', says Max Verstappen in the studio of ServusTV.
''The speed wasn't bad this weekend, although of course we always want better, because on Saturday Mercedes was still too fast. During the race I drove on a different tyre and that went a lot better for us'', says Verstappen, who was accompanied by Sebastian Vettel, Pierre Gasly and Christian Horner at the Red Bull sponsored television station.

Keep learning

''If I break Vettel's record as the youngest world champion, that's fine, but I'm not doing that. After this weekend it will be a lot harder. I can always keep learning and improving. I will never be perfect. That goes both on and off the track. I'm only 22 years old and I think everything can be even better'', said the Dutchman who misses his multitude of fans.
''Of course it's a pity those fans can't be there. However, during the race, especially in the beginning, you are focused on the race and you can't watch the fans. The longer the race lasts, the more you get. It's a pity, but hopefully we'll see the fans again soon'', concludes Verstappen.
