Max Verstappen admitted he had issues with the balance of the car during the Bahrain Grand Prix. According to Red Bull, the problems were removed during the post-Bahrain test. However, after listening to the radio from China, it sounds like the handling issues still plague the RB15.
A large part of Verstappen's onboard radio appeared on YouTube during the race in China. There have been balancing problems right from the start of the race. According to Verstappen, the RB15 is again very unpredictable, making it very difficult to drive consistent times. He also says he suffers from a great deal of understeer, particularly in long turns.
The rear wheels would lock when braking. Something that according to Verstappen was not due to the brake balance. He suspected a recurring problem with engine braking, but of course, Honda troubles are not discussed publicly. At the end of the race, Verstappen announced that the wind also played a nasty role.
