Pirelli has revealed the tyre choices teams and drivers have made for the Chinese Grand Prix weekend. For the first time this season, the top three teams seem to have opened up their options with their choices.
For the 1000th race in the history of Formula One, the C2, C3 and C4 tyres will be available to the teams with the C2 option being the hardest and C4 the softest of those available.
While the top teams have brought a similar number of hard and soft tyres, ranging from one or two and seven and eight sets of each compound respectively, the number of medium sets show a variation not seen this season.
While Valtteri Bottas and Max Verstappen will bring just three sets of the C3 mediums, Charles Leclerc will have five sets available at Ferrari, more than any other driver in the top six.
Elsewhere, McLaren has gone very aggressive with their tyre choices and will hope that the nine sets of soft tyres will help build on their strong Bahrain Grand Prix weekend.
