On the weekend when Ferrari celebrates their 1000th Grand Prix, Michael Schumacher is of course also in everyone's thoughts. The German who gave Ferrari their greatest successes is still fighting to overcome the injuries of his skiing accident.
Schumacher fell while skiing at the end of 2013, was in a coma for a long time and eventually suffered severe brain damage. At the request of the family, the exact situation after seven years is never known, but Jean Todt still sees him regularly.

Schumacher is a fighter

"I saw Michael last week," says the President of the FIA to the press agency PA. "He is fighting," adds the former Ferrari team boss. Together with Schumacher, he was responsible for no less than seven world titles for Ferrari at the beginning of this century.
"My God, we know he had a terrible and unfortunate skiing accident which has caused him a lot of problems. But he has an amazing wife next to him, he has his kids, his nurses, and we can only wish him the best and to wish the family the best, too."
