Szafnauer: “Our hard work is paying off”

Force India COO Otmar Szafnauer says that his teams strong performance in Baku qualifying on Saturday shows the progress the team continues to make, putting in their best qualifying result of the year.

The Force India’s had looked on the pace all weekend and when it came time to put the ultimate lap time in, both Sergio Perez and Esteban Ocon raised their game.

“Seventh and eighth on the grid is a well-deserved result and confirms that all our hard work is paying off,” said Szafnauer.

“Qualifying is only part of the job and there’s a big task ahead of us tomorrow,” he added.
