Seidl confident in battle vs Ferrari: "Reasons why we are the third team"

Besides the battle for the title between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton there is also the battle for the third spot in the Constructors' Championship. McLaren is in the lead, ahead of Ferrari.

McLaren team boss Andreas Seidl knows that his team is performing well at the moment and that there is a chance that his team will finish third this year. Still, he says to Speedweek.com that he thinks that the development of the team is very important.

According to Seidl, there is no magic formula to suddenly run away from Ferrari.

"Although we are ambitious, there is no magic in Formula 1 . Of course we can be happy after such a nice result as in Austria, but now we just have to not get carried away, so we keep working on the process unflinchingly." Next weekend, McLaren will be looking to further distance themselves from Ferrari in the battle for third place at home, at Silverstone.
