Mick Schumacher impresses in the first weeks of the new Formula 2 season. Also former Mercedes chief Norbert Haug is complimentary about the German, whom he follows closely.
"He's doing great," says Haug talking to Sky Sport Germany. The son of seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher had a changeable debut year last season, but took the podium twice this year in Hungary on behalf of Prema Powerteam. The talented driver occupies fourth place in the standings. "I really enjoyed him. He showed some controlled and well-timed overtaking in Hungary. There were some critics, yes. But what Mick does on the grid is just class." Ferrari-team boss Mattia Binotto said earlier that he was impressed by the 21-year-old.

Name

According to Haug, Schumacher certainly has the potential to eventually break through into Formula 1 and his surname will help him do so. "You don't just reach Formula 1 with talent, but also thanks to your relationships with the constructors."
