Carlos Sainz entered Formula 1 at the same time as Max Verstappen. While he still enjoys the seasons in the motorsport class, he sees the sports world changing in other areas. The driver doesn't always think that's a good thing, as he explains at length in an interview with the Spanish Marca.
The Ferrari driver points out, among other things, the many races that are on the program nowadays. According to Sainz, it is almost impossible for drivers to still see each race as a final and it is therefore especially important to look at the entire season.
"When I arrived there were eighteen or nineteen races and every race was a final," explained Sainz. "Now that the number is going up, you have to know that it's a sport where things depend very little on the driver. You depend on a lot of factors to make a weekend go perfectly which is incredible."

Sainz tries to keep a cool head

Sainz therefore believes it is important for a driver to keep his cool and try to focus himself on only the next Grand Prix. However, he is aware that races these days are increasingly decided on details and that he is therefore also dependent on his teammates.
