George Russell believes it will be another "five to six" races before his Williams team can turn a corner in its performances.
Williams is yet to score a single point in 2019 and have got comfortably the worst cars on the grid. However, the British side have made some slight improvements in recent races.
Russell thinks the team are already turning a corner - but perhaps the improvement is not noticeable to the average spectator - and believes it will become noticeable in the next five to six races.
"Everyone is positive, which is really impressive to see how motivated everyone is considering the difficult times," Russell said, as quoted by Crash.net. "We're going to be in this position for a number of races to come, and only 5-6 races we'll be able to make a bit of progress that is noticeable to you guys really, and even then we're still going to be at the back."
Williams suffered a huge setback before the season officially began. The British side failed to bring its new car to the first two days of pre-season testing in Barcelona - ultimately losing out on some valuable track-time to gather data from its new car.
