Daniel Ricciardo is known as a great talent in
Formula 1, but he hasn't managed to come close to a world title yet. Although he has struggled with this in the past, he is now at peace with the situation.
The Australian tried to make his dream come true after his time at
Red Bull Racing with Renault and
McLaren, but found out it wasn't easy to get close to the top teams. Ricciardo is therefore putting aside the pressure to win the world championship.
"I’m still here because I believe I can win a title, and I want to win a title," the driver stressed
in the Beyond the Grid podcast on the
Formula 1 website.
"But I’m at peace with whatever happens, as long as I go out and leave it all on the track, I’ll get fulfilment." Ricciardo not giving up hope
Ricciardo is looking towards the future with great confidence.
"Say I’m at McLaren for five years, and we don’t get a title, I don’t want to look back on the five years as a failure. Because then it’s like, ‘OK, that’s five years of my life that I’m just flushing down the toilet'. Five years of your life is a lot of time."
