Kimi Raikkonen is hoping for a better race at the Canadian Grand Prix and admitted that the season hasn't gone to plan so far as he aims to be higher up the midfield.
Raikkonen started the season in impressive form, scoring points in each of the first four races but in Spain and Monaco finished 14th and 17th respectively. The Finn is tenth in the standings with 13 points but his teammate, Antonio Giovinazzi has struggled for form all season and is yet to score a point.
Despite the positive start to 2019 Raikkonen isn't satisfied and wants the team to be performing higher up the grid and is hoping Canada is the race to turn it around.
"The track in Montreal should suit us but to be honest so far this season not a lot went according to plan," Raikkonen said as quoted by F1i.com.
"I hope we’ll get the tyres working and then we should be able to get the full potential out of the car.
