Haas are currently bottom of the Constructors' Championship, but that doesn't worry Günther Steiner. According to the Haas team boss, the team is in good shape for 2022.

Haas in good shape

Haas made a clear choice during 2020 to put all its resources into 2022, not 2021. It has made for a dramatic campaign in this year, but it has given a lot of confidence for the coming years. Indeed, with all focus on 2022, the team should be able to make a good start to the new era in Formula One.
"I think we are in a good position. Of course, you are never comfortable, because you always want more. The moment you don't want more, you have to start changing jobs. Especially in such a competitive environment as Formula 1", Steiner said according to Formel1.de.

Pressure on Resta

The fact that Steiner feels more confident about 2022 is also due to the arrival of Simone Resta as chief engineer. "We have a leader again, and you can clearly see progress." However, Steiner also believes that his team have always been in good shape.
"I have never seen a big weakness. We have to get better, that's clear, but I've never seen a weakness. I am hopeful and confident that we can find our old form again," concluded Steiner, who will be aiming to recreat their form from the years 2016 to 2018, when the team were competing at the top of the midfield.
