Pirelli hoped to have fixed some of the issues that they have had with their tyres.
This week, teams have been testing the new Pirelli tyres for 2019 in Abu Dhabi. The majority of teams and drivers said that there was little difference between last seasons tyres and the ones that they were testing.
Pirelli hope to have fixed the issue of some of their softer tyres graining too easily, making them hard to use in races.
Pirelli F1 boss Mario Isola said to Motorsport.com that "the first feedback is that the new hypersoft is a good tyre. In terms of performance, it's very similar to the current hypersoft. It looks like the level of graining is reduced."
"That's exactly the target of this very soft compound."

Pirelli have brought in a few more changes to the tyre choices for next season. Teams will be given an option of a soft medium of hard tyre which will be chosen depending on the circuit, instead the choice of several that the teams had this season.
