The Chinese Grand Prix will be the first race in which a compound has been skipped, with the supersoft tyres left at home.
Pirelli has said they expect a one-stop strategy to be employed by most teams during the Chinese Grand Prix however a two-stop strategy isn't out of the question.
A one-stop would theoretically be the quickest way to the finish line and would see cars pitting and changing from ultrasofts to medium tyres around lap 18.
While a one-stop is preferred, a two-stop strategy is viable and is close time-wise. Pirelli would expect cars to pit twice, first for a new set of ultrasofts and then again later for mediums to see out the race.
The top four however of Ferrari and Mercedes start the race on soft tyres, opening up different strategy entirely and like Bahrain, a long game of who blinks first could decide the grand prix.
