It has been revealed that there will be two DRS zones in place for the French Grand Prix this weekend, with the possibility of a third being added.
The first zone is on the pit straight, with the detection point at the penultimate corner, turn 14, and the activation point 115 metres after turn 15.
The second is on the first part of the Mistral straight. The famous Mistral straight has a chicane in the middle, for safety reasons, so the second DRS zone will be on the first part of the straight.
The detection zone is before turn 7, with the activation point 170m after the turn.
There is an option for a third DRS zone to be introduced, if the FIA feels that the DRS zones are not effective enough in providing closer racing and overtaking.

This third zone would most likely be placed after the chicane mentioned above, meaning that both parts of the Mistral straight would have DRS zones, making it a perfect place for overtaking in the race.
