Lando Norris ended up without points in Canada, after crashing into his teammate Oscar Piastri. A day after the incident, the Briton reflected on what happened.
On Lap 67, as the two McLaren teammates were fighting for P4, on the start-finish straight, Norris ran into the back of Piastri's MCL39, lost his front wing, and collided with the wall.
The Briton immediately acknowledged his matches over the team radio. After his initial response in Montreal, he reflected on the incident at the 'F1' movie's premiere.
"What happened, happened, I regretted it at the time and I apologised for it. Sadly, yeah, it's also racing, I take it on the chin and I got to move on, I got to look at the next race, I got to see how I can do a better job and how I cannot make those silly little mistakes at times," he explained to Sky Sports.
The British driver was in a better mood in general, and also looked at the it from a different angle. "But there's a lot of positives and I'll make sure to look at them and build on what I got because once I get in a good rhythm then I'm sure I'll be very happy," he concluded.

What does this mean in terms of the championship?

While Norris did not finish, Oscar Piastri crossed the finish line in fourth position, earning himself 12 points at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
With that, he is now 22 points ahead of his teammate in the drivers' standings. Finishing in second place, Verstappen could get closer to the Briton as well, he is 21 points behind him after 10 rounds have been contested in the 2025 campaign.
