McLaren Racing have presented the newest addition to their driver family this afternoon: experienced US rallycross and stunt driver Tanner Foust will compete for McLaren in Extreme E starting next year.
The American is a four-time rallycross champion, managing to take the title in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2019. The team also confirmed that it will soon announce Foust's teammate, the first female McLaren Racing driver, as stated on its official website.

Winning personality

McLaren CEO Zak Brown says he is pleased with the appointment of the racer. “We are thrilled that Tanner has joined the McLaren Racing family of drivers", he said. "He is a top-class off-road competitor with a wealth of experience and a winning record. Alongside his driving prowess he’s a fantastic personality, who will help us connect with new fans around the world and bring the purpose and important messages of Extreme E to the fore."
Brown continued: "We’re looking forward to announcing Tanner’s team-mate and our first female McLaren driver, to complete our exciting line-up."
