Verstappen also saw himself taking a different career path

Max Verstappen breathes motorsport. Thanks to his father Jos, also a former Formula 1 driver, the Dutchman got into racing at a very young age and can no longer be turned away. Yet he used to have other ambitions too, he explained on Red Bull Racings Instagram.

You could hardly imagine it: Max Verstappen in a suit other than his racing suit. But when the two-time World Champion was still a child and at school, he also saw himself taking a different career path: "I wanted to maybe be like a lawyer.”

The Red Bull driver recognises how different that is from what he is doing now. Studying law alongside your racing career may not be an easy combination either. “It’s a lot of work though. When I properly looked into it I was like, maybe not,” Verstappen said with a laugh.

So tomorrow, at the start of the test days in Bahrain, we will see the Dutchman back in a racing suit rather than a toga, and most fans will probably be happy about that.
