Verstappen will not change: 'I drive how I want, it doesn't matter'

Despite ending the season with 8 penalty points on his super license, Max Verstappen will not change how he drives. He knows that if he reaches 12, he will receive a race ban, but he doesn't care. Instead, he joked about planning it in time for "Baby Verstappen-Piquet's" arrival.

After an unsuccessful attempt at overtaking Oscar Piastri, Verstappen was given two penalty points on his super license. This brings his total to eight points, as he already had six. Verstappen enjoys hard racing and is not known to back down, but he is now only four points away from a ban.

Verstappen spoke with ServusTV about his current penalty points and plans for the future. "I currently have eight penalties, but maybe I should tactically increase that to 12 with the baby coming, so I can start from the beginning again. I will be who I am and drive how I want; it doesn't matter," he said.

In a shocking post during the Abu Dhabi weekend, Verstappen and Kelly Piquet announced they were expecting a baby together. Piquet already has a daughter named Penelope, whom Verstappen considers himself a 'bonus dad' too.
