Red Bull Racing could cheer on Saturday afternoon when Max Verstappen grabbed pole position. On the other hand, Sergio Pérez failed to reach Q2 and will start sixteenth on Sunday. However, the Austrian racing stable plans to make the most of the situation.
On the Zandvoort circuit, overtaking is difficult for the drivers on Sunday, making it very difficult for Pérez to drive in the points. Red Bull wants to use the race smartly, however and is thinking of giving the Mexican's car a once-over.
"We will use this to replace as many engine parts as possible," Helmut Marko told Servus TV. "So that we can limit the damage, as it were, and avoid penalties for the rest of the season."

The Austrians are hoping that Verstappen will be back on top of the world championship after this weekend. Although he is currently three points behind Lewis Hamilton, he took a step in the right direction with his first place. Valtteri Bottas will start the race from third place.
