Despite winning four of the opening 6 races of the season Lewis Hamilton has said that he has had an "average" start to the championship. Mercedes have dominated winning every race so far with Valtteri Bottas winning two races. If Mercedes are currently performing below average then it's going to be incredible to see how fast they are when they perform well!
"I definitely feel that it's been quite an average performance from myself," Hamilton said to Autosport. "Maybe above average, but generally quite average for the first six races.
"I feel like I've got the best I could get [from the results]. I've arrived prepared, the best prepared I could be. But in terms of extracting the true performance from the car, I feel like I've struggled a little bit in these six races.
"I do anticipate things will get better, as it will be for all of us. I hope, at some stage, that I'm able to crack the issues that I've had and get back to the form that I have within me."
Mercedes will hope to continue their winning streak and establish their dominance once again in Canada.
