Hamilton already settled at Ferrari: 'Feeling right at home'

Lewis Hamilton is already settled in to his new role at Ferrari. After the seven-time world champion decided to leave Mercedes after years of loyal service and success, Hamilton has started his work with the Italian team ahead of the 2025 season.

Hamilton shared a video of his time at Ferrari so far on social media in which he can be seen getting to know the factory staff and driving his first laps in the signature red F1 car. On 4th and 5th February Hamilton, alongside his new teammate Charles Leclerc, worked through a tyre programme for Pirelli to test new compounds for 2026.

On day one of the tyre test, Hamilton was faster than his new teammate, while on day two, the Monegasque was the fastest man. Although interesting, the lap times from this test are not representative of the drives' true pace as it is unknown what settings and how much fuel was used for each run. What is clear, however, is that the 40 year old already feels right at home at his new team.
