Lawrence Stroll denies funding Mercedes/Williams deal

Lance Stroll’s father, Lawrence Stroll has denied funding a deal between Mercedes and Williams that this morning, Toto Wolff explained would be really beneficial.

A move would make the Mercedes team have a similar partnership to Ferrari and Haas.

The deal would be really beneficial to Williams who are struggling so far this season. Which is in complete contrast to the performance from Haas.

Stroll said: “I tried to persuade (the team) to go down that route, but I’m not going to be buying anything from Toto.”
