Italian football giants Juventus have confirmed their interest in Ferrari team principal Maurizio Arrivabene, Spanish newspaper AS reports, as the new director of the club will be announced by the end of the month.
Arrivabene has been at the helm of the Ferrari F1 team for four years now, and despite now winning any silverware with the prancing horse, he has established himself as one of the biggest personalities on the grid.
AS report that the Italian is in pole position to replace departing Juventus CEO Giuseppe Marotta, who will be leaving the Old Lady at the end of the month after eight incredibly successful years.
Arrivabene, who could therefore be leaving Ferrari by the end of the month, is facing competition from Pavel Nedved, a former Juventus player and club legend, and Andrea Agnelli, who is part of the family that owns Juventus.
What impact a potential departure of Arrivabene could have of Ferrari's progress and title chances this season is unknown, but it's no surprise that the Italian team would rather not see their team principal jump ship in the middle of the season.
