2009 Formula 1 World Champion Jenson Button believes that Max Verstappen is one of the greatest racers to ever have lived. The Red Bull driver is respected and many believe that he is naturally one of the most talented racers on the grid.
Button has some experience racing the Verstappen blood as he raced together in a karting team with Sophie Kumpen, Max's mother. She was a little older than the then 15-year-old Button but regularly beat him.
“Jos was a great driver and so was his mother. He (Max) is possibly the greatest innate talent ever brought into the world. There is a good reason for that, you would almost think it was already the intention 22 years ago,” Button said on the Beyond the Grid podcast.
Verstappen comes from a true racing family and has a bright future ahead of him. He will hope to get a competitive car in the near future and start to get the results that he knows he can achieve.
