The fight between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen in 2021 not only created excitement on the track, but also off it. Christian Horner saw some big differences between Red Bull Racing and Mercedes, he told The Daily Mail.
The team of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez managed to grab the world title with Sebastian Vettel four times between 2010 and 2013. However, after major changes to the regulations, Mercedes proved to have things in better order and was the strongest between 2014 and 2020.
Last calendar year, Mercedes suddenly faced serious competition from Red Bull again. With Verstappen as its top driver, the Austrian racing stable managed to compete for the entire season and even finished the season winning, so Mercedes seems to be taunted to fight for the world title again this season.

Horner notes that the two teams are quite different in a number of ways. "The fundamental differences are that Mercedes is a team that has evolved over the years and grown to such a scale that it is a very well-oiled machine across all of its functions on-track, off-track, politically and media-wise," Horner explained. "We have retained the essence of a race team."
