Horner names two key victories in 2022: 'Those Max wanted to win'

Christian Horner expects Red Bull Racing to once again aim high in Formula 1 in the new season. Looking back at the 2022 season, the team boss mentions two races that were very important for the team to win.

"All races give the same amount of points, but there were two important races we wanted to win," Horner said ahead of his team's car launch. "Miami was a super tight race and I think it was an important race for Max to win."

Another important race weekend played out at the United States Grand Prix, where Red Bull clinched the constructors' title. "Austin was an emotional weekend where we lost our founder and chairman Dietrich Mateschitz," Horner continued.

The team held mixed feelings about the weekend in which it triumphed in the constructors' championship for the first time in eight years. " He was a huge influence in everything," Horner said of the Red Bull co-founder. "His passion and determination live on. Also, the fact that we are mavericks, pushing boundaries and doing things differently," the Red Bull team boss said.
