The extraordinary dominance of Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing has driven McLaren' s 35-year-old record out of the books. The papaya-coloured team had taken first place for 11 consecutive races, but this record is now held by Red bull Racing. They have won 12 races in a row. Horner shares his findings.

Horner is a happy man

"It's not so much what you see trackside, it's what you see, you know, behind the scenes in the factory throughout all the different departments that each having to go that extra yard and you know, all the men and women back in Milton Keynes are doing an outstanding job and to achieve this, you know, 35 year record for the first time since 1988 is something that we're all incredibly proud of," Horner told GPblog, among others.
"I mean to have achieved that kind of milestone to have won all 11 races this year, 12 in a row since Abu Dhabi last year, 19 out of the last 20, is quite frankly something unprecedented," the Red Bull Racing team boss said.
