Horner enjoys holiday with wife Geri after parting ways with Red Bull

Former Red Bull team principal Horner is spending his Saturday outdoors, he shared on social media. In his caption, he wrote: "Wow, thank you Scotland."

Horner travelled up to the home of Jackie Stewart with his wife, former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell Horner. They also took a picture at the birthplace of the three-time F1 world champion in Milton before visiting the mountains in the north.

Earlier this week, it was announced that Horner formally parted ways with Red Bull Racing, after he was dismissed ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix.

After working more than two decades for the team, the Briton was replaced by Laurent Mekies. Reports suggested that Horner received an £80 million payout, but GPblog understands that figure not to be true.

The sum Horner got paid for his tenure at Red Bull Racing, spanning across two decades, was around 52 million pounds.

With regard to a potential return to Formula One, Horner would still have to serve a gardening leave period before taking a leadership role at any team in the series.

British outlet Daily Mail also reported that Horner is looking to buy a stake in the Haas F1 Team.

However, any suggestions that Gene Haas might be looking to sell his F1 team have been categorically dismissed in the past by both the American himself and current team boss Ayao Komatsu. GPblog understands this stance has not changed either.
