Hope for Red Bull: 'Ferrari tends to reach'

Ferrari showed during the test days in Barcelona and Bahrain that it has a good quality car at its disposal this season. Ralf Schumacher, however, is far from certain that the Italian racing team can compete for the world title. He says so in an interview with Speedweek.com.
It is expected that the differences between the drivers will change considerably in the coming months due to the new regulations. Mercedes seems to be struggling to find a good balance, while McLaren seems to be fighting for the front places. The same applies to Ferrari, although Schumacher is not quite sure.
"I'm not so sure about that. Especially because Ferrari tends to reach the performance limit earlier than other teams," he explains his position. "We saw that a lot last year in the Friday practice sessions. I would like Ferrari to go well, because that is important for Formula 1 worldwide."

Leclerc is backtracking with prediction

Charles Leclerc sees a similar situation playing out. According to the Monegasque, Ferrari has little to hide, while Mercedes and Red Bull Racing seem to be holding their cards close to their chests for now. The driver therefore still finds it difficult to predict who will fight for victory in Bahrain.
