Junior Honda driver Yuki Tsunoda is set to drive for Carlin in Formula 2 for the 2020 season. The Japanese racer impressed his bosses at both Honda and Red Bull Racing after a successful debut Formula 3 season.
Tsunoda finished the F3 season 9th, getting the race win in Monza along with two other podiums throughout the season. The Honda junior will be looking to impress as he takes the step up to Formula 2.
Carlin are yet to announce who will be racing alongside Tsunoda next season with Nobuharu Matsushita and Louis Deletraz both deciding to move on from the team.
Formula 2 is the main talent pool for recruiting Formula 1 drivers and Tsunoda will look to impress, with the dream of being called up to Formula 1 at some point in the future.
