For the last six seasons, Mercedes have been utterly dominant, winning everything before them without competition. But Nick Heidfeld believes the Mercedes dynasty will come to an end in 2020, with Ferrari ready to take to the front.
Since 2014, Mercedes have won both Drivers' Championship and Constructors' Championship in every season without fail and in 2019 they've already sealed another double.
Lewis Hamilton has won every Drivers' Championship during this spell, apart from the controversial 2016 season which went to Nico Rosberg. Despite the Silver Arrows looking simply unbeatable Nick Heidfeld has made a bold prediction as to when their reign will end.
"I think that next year we will see a distortion of the hierarchies, with Ferrari ready to take the lead," Heidfeld told Sky Germany.
"As unlikely as it may seem, there will come a time when Mercedes' domination will end."

Heidfeld also gave a little insight into why Ferrari can lead the field, adding: "For Ferrari, the important thing is to learn from this year's mistakes. They have the speed and pace to beat Mercedes and Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc have understood this and are fighting to get the status of a leader."
