The Red Bull boss turns 45 today, so we look back on his life in and out of F1!
Christian Horner has been the Team Principal of Red Bull since 2005 and has overseen plenty of success, as well as some tougher times.
He started his career by trying to reach F1, but couldn’t cut it in Formula 3000 in the late nineties, so scrapped his efforts to become a racing driver and instead turned to management and soon found himself in F1, as Red Bull team principal.
He is one of the most likeable characters in the F1 paddock and has seen his team win four Constructors’ titles, between 2010 and 2013, with driver Sebastian Vettel winning the Drivers’ title in each of those season.
Also… Happy birthday to Tazio Nuvolari. You may not know who he is, but the pre-war driver was one of the best to have ever lived. Sadly Nuvolari was too old and ill to ever race in F1, and died at the age of 60 in 1953.
