Following the summer break, Ferrari have been very strong. In fact, they've scooped up every single pole position since the summer break demonstrating their single-lap speed. Lewis Hamilton was last on pole for the 2019 German Grand Prix and he admits he's unsure where his next pole position is coming from.
Charles Leclerc qualified on pole for the four races following the summer break, with Sebastian Vettel stealing P1 last time out in Japan. Ferrari have managed to throw away most of those good results when it comes to the race, however.
Going into the Mexican Grand Prix weekend, Hamilton remains fearful of the Ferrari speed.
"I don't think a lot has changed. We are going to go into the weekend knowing that Ferrari are massively quick, so I don't know when we'll be getting another pole. As you've seen in previous races, it's not necessarily all about qualifying these days," Hamilton reported to Channel 4.
Max Verstappen has won the last two races in Mexico, with Hamilton picked up just one win since it's return to the sport in 2015.
