Frustrations begin to spill over for Bottas

The man has had to deal with plenty of bad luck through the course of the season. Yesterday it must have felt like it ended as he qualified on pole for the 5th time in his career, but it soon came rushing back today.
He lost his first place advantage early on to team-mate Lewis Hamilton but was still in a strong place following the drama at the start.
It then became unlucky number 13 for the Finn. On the 13th lap, he had a hydraulics issue which forced him to retire from the race. This comes one week after being hit by Sebastian Vettel at the start of the French Grand Prix. He'll be dreading to think what the final chapter of the tripleheader has ready for him.
"The luck I'm having this year feels like a bit of a bad joke," Bottas said in an interview on crashnet.
"My start was not ideal - I had quite a bit of wheel spin, and there was less grip than we expected so I dropped a few places. Going into turn 3 I could recover two places and was back in second place.

"After that, the car felt strong, we were running well, but then I suddenly experienced a loss of hydraulic pressure."
Bottas is now 6th in the drivers' standings. A place where he doesn't really deserve to be. Both Red Bull and both Ferrari drivers are now ahead of him. There's not a lot that can be done.
