Former McLaren F1 driver and motorsport pundit Mark Blundell has had his driving licence suspended for six months. The former British driver was caught on the A14 in Northamptonshire on November 20, 2024, exceeding the 70 mph (113 km/h) speed limit by a full 26 mph (around 42 km/h).
Blundell was due to appear before Northampton Magistrates’ Court but chose not to attend. Instead, his barrister entered a guilty plea on his behalf.
As a result, he was handed five penalty points on his licence, which triggered a six-month driving ban, along with a total fine of £1,042.
