While a contract is yet to be announced, as CEO and team principal Toto Wolff said, he wants to keep George Russell and Kimi Antonelli for the 2026 season. Juan Pablo Montoya has an advice for the British driver in terms of his future.

Former driver Juan Pablo Montoya expects both drivers to get a deal for a single season.
When asked about whether Verstappen's decision for 2026 will close all the speculation about the Briton, he believes if possible, Russell should opt for a switch.
"I think the problem is George is only going to get a one-year deal. And I think Antonelli is going to get a one-year deal," he began to a betting site.
“If I was George and I had a good opportunity somewhere else, I would go," he continued.
"If Aston came today to George and offered him a seat for next year, I would take it, he should take it. And then let Mercedes realise what they have lost and figure out what they did next.”

Entering the summer break, Russell is in fourth place in the drivers' standings with 172 points and a victory at the Canadian GP, 15 points behind Max Verstappen.
