Hyundai and the FIA are working together to uncover all the pieces of the puzzle of the World Rally Championship test crash that took Craig Breen's life in the run-up to Rally Croatia last week. Hyundai team boss Cyril Abiteboul read a prepared statement to the media in Croatia on Wednesday to explain what happened.
Abiteboul confirmed that the accident occurred at a relatively low speed and that the car had collided with a wooden fence that had entered the car's cabin through the driver's side window. Co-driver James Fulton remained unhurt in the incident.
