Binotto looks on the bright side: "Two poles in the last three races"

Ferrari boss Mattia Binotto has admitted to having a "mixed feeling" about qualifying in Austria, as Charles Leclerc did take pole position but Sebastian Vettel wasn't able to run in Q3 because of damage on his car.

It doesn't happen often that two drivers of the same team bookend a Q3. Leclerc, who looked the man to beat on Saturday afternoon all weekend, broke the track record with a very impressive 1:03.0 to take his second-ever pole position.

At the other end of the spectrum is Vettel, who was showed climbing out of his car halfway through Q3. The Ferrari mechanics couldn't fix the damage that was apparently done to the car during Q2. Could those notoriously hard kerbs at the Red Bull Ring be the aggressor?

"It's a mixed feeling," Binotto told Sky Sports F1 after qualifying.

Despite not having won a race yet, Binotto does try to look at his team's pace on Saturdays as a positive.

With Leclerc starting on a different compound compared to the drivers behind him, it remains to be seen whether the Monegasque can convert his pole into a maiden F1 win.
