From court to track: Felipe Massa makes comeback in '24

Felipe Massa erased the spotlight almost constantly in 2023, but it was not because of his racing skills. Indeed, the Brazilian is in a fight with the FIA over the 2008 F1 world title. The then Ferrari driver believes he was deprived of the championship at the hands of the global motorsport federation for allegedly failing to act adequately after 'crashgate'.
Besides all the discussions with his legal advisers, Massa was active as a driver in the Brazilian Stock Car Championship. Especially in his native country, this is an appealing championship, but internationally the battle is not really followed. Now Massa (42) has announced his return to an internationally appealing championship in 2024: the former F1 driver will race the 24 Hours of Daytona in January, which falls under the US IMSA championship.

First time at Daytona

"I always try to do one of these races in my career and it will be the first time that I will race Daytona with Riley Motorsports, a very great and important team here in the U.S. Thank you very much to Gar for the invitation," Massa said at his presentation.
