Surprise winner for fastest pit stop of Bahrain Grand Prix

The winner of the DHL Pitstop Award for the Bahrain Grand Prix has been announced. For the first time since the Spanish Grand Prix in May 2022, the award goes to Ferrari.

With a time of 2.22 seconds, Ferrari just managed to keep Red Bull behind. The Austrians come second with 2.25 seconds. Both times are faster than the fastest pit stop in last year's Bahrain Grand Prix: then the win went to McLaren with a time of 2.31.

That McLaren is now notably absent from the list. In 2022, the British team could still regularly rival Red Bull, but at the first race of the year, McLaren does not even make it into the top ten. Williams' low placement is also notable: that team is also traditionally very fast in pit stops, but now has to make do with a tenth spot.
