Formula 1 boss Chase Carey says that the sport is going to stay behind a paywall for the forseeable future, despite viewing figures falling.
Live Formula 1 has been exclusively broadcast on Sky Sports this season, with just the British Grand Prix available on free-to-air Channel 4.
In an interview with Forbes.com, Carey said: “We will continue to move towards pay platforms because that is where the world is going.”
Carey also responded to criticism of the new streaming service, F1 TV, which has caused plenty of complaints with its constant glitches and bugs.
The moustachioed American says that they "have made good strides" on the reliability side and that the platform is “getting closer to our targets both in terms of content and reliability.”
