Here are the top three stories from the world of Formula 1.

McLaren live at Trafalgar Square

McLaren hosted a fan zone event at Trafalgar Square today ahead of the British Grand Prix, and both drivers attended.
Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri were in London, and there were two sim set-ups at the event ahead of the race at Silverstone.
Formula 2 championship contender and McLaren junior Alex Dunne also made an appearance and will race at Silverstone as part of F1's support bill.

Is Verstappen to Mercedes a done deal?

Verstappen has indicated he is staying at Red Bull, but the four-time world champion and his camp are keeping their options open.
Mercedes haven't yet announced George Russell or Andrea Kimi Antonelli as their drivers for next year, but the German team isn't a significant step ahead of Red Bull right now.
It remains to be seen whether Verstappen will continue with Red Bull or choose to work elsewhere in the future.

Verstappen' reaction to Austria retirement earned him praise

Verstappen endured a very difficult race last time out at the Austrian Grand Prix as he got collected by Andrea Kimi Antonelli on the opening lap.
His measured reaction to the crash has earned him praise from the former Red Bull technician Calum Nicholas.
"Max was incredibly gracious and went and spoke to him. And I think that's typical of Max when he's dealing with people that like understand that they've made a mistake," Nicholas said about the Dutchman's reaction in the Sky Sports F1 podcast.
